Lauren’s teaching studio is a safe space for children and families to learn and practice life skills through music study. We accept everyone and we aim to celebrate their unique differences and experiences.

Lauren has over ten years of teaching experience. She is available to teach 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons to beginning, intermediate and advanced students throughout the Ann Arbor area. 

Lauren believes that music lessons extend beyond teaching a child solely musical skills, but to use music as a medium to foster the whole child. She maintains a private studio and offers group projects throughout the year in addition to weekly private lessons for each student.

Lauren draws teaching inspiration from the Suzuki Method, Mimi Zweig String Pedagogy, Paul Rolland and Kodaly as well as from the many wonderful teachers she has been lucky to study with throughout the years. Lauren sees teaching as an ongoing learning process and is always trying new things in her teaching studio. She understands that every student is different and what might work for one person might not work for another.
