Lauren has over ten years of teaching experience. She is available to teach 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons to beginning, intermediate and advanced students throughout the Ann Arbor area.

As a teacher, Lauren believes that students of any age can learn the violin if they are given a strong foundation and met with patience and fun. Lauren was raised in the Suzuki method and is trained as a Suzuki teacher. Lauren is a member of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute and The Suzuki Association of the Americas. She maintains a private studio and offers weekly group classes in addition to weekly private lessons for each student.

In addition to the Suzuki method, Lauren draws from Mimi Zweig String Pedagogy, Paul Rolland and Kodaly as well as from the many wonderful teachers she has been lucky to study with throughout the years. Lauren sees teaching as an ongoing learning process and is always trying new things in her teaching studio. She understands that every student is different and what might work for one person might not work for another.

Lauren currently has openings in her Ann Arbor studio. For more information on studio rates and schedule, please go to the contact page.
